This is my entry for the Gods & Goddesses - Contest by =ellastasia (link).

These are the Moirae who are the fates in greek mythology: Clotho, the one who spun the thread of life from her distaff onto her spindle, Lachesis who measured the thread of life allotted to each person, and Atropos who cut the thread of life (Wikipedia).
I chose to portray them as a child, a young woman and an old woman.
The child is based on myself as a child (but with darker hair and a cute nose
) and I used some photos of old people to get the old woman's wrinkles right and to get some ideas for the patterns. Aside from that I didn't use any references.

Tools: pencils from B to 8B, eraser, pensil eraser, tortillon
Size: approx. 56 cm X 40 cm
