OMG it is finished!
This picture is very loosely based on a story I wrote several years ago. I've already drawn this in 1998 and in 2001 so this is the third one with this idea. The most important part of the picture is right in the centre. Being completely unaware of all the fighting around her a female warrior holds her fallen lover. I've to admit that I rushed it in the end a bit. I hope you'll like it nevertheless. Drawn with B, 2B, 3B, 4B and 6B pencils on an A2 paper. It took an hour to scan the whole picture You can see the previous steps her: Step 1 Step 2 Step 3 step 4 step 5 step 6 And here you can find some close-ups (in parts you can see them on the steps, too): step close-up I step close-up II Edit: Now you can also see the former versions here. For those who are interested: I've counted 108 humans, horses, dragons and other creatures Enjoy! Daily DeviationGiven 2008-03-11The battle by *Svera shows the incredible level of detail in the armour, the battered landscape, the intense facial expressions of the battling forces are simply put, stunning. The dragons soaring above either want to rid the earth of the petty humans, or they're trying to help give one force the upper hand. And in the very middle of it all, lost in a world of their own, two lovers. You can feel the pain as the fair maiden holds her fallen lover for one last goodbye.
