So, here's the next step. I had to erase two dragons that looked really awful, but instead I've drawn another one. I hope you can't see where the dragons were at first.

At the moment I would say 40-45% are finished. And now you can see the most important part of the picture on the right side. Being completely unaware of all the fighting around her a female warrior holds her fallen lover.

You can find the first three steps here and here and here.

Beautiful! What surface are you drawing this on? For example...smooth bristol, vellum...etc? The reason I'm asking is I like how you've lifted the highlights. I know with 100 smooth bristol that can be a hard task once you've laid down the graphite. Just looking for some pointers. You're doing extremely well. I'm enjoying watching this unfold.

Thank you very much! To answer your question I'm drawing this on ordinary paper. Normally I don't lay down the graphite where I want to have a highlight. But if I have to correct something because I realised that there should be highlight but I had the graphite already laid down I use a normal eraser. If you look very closely you could see some highlights that are more greyish than others. That are the ones that where later erased.
I hope I could explain how I work. It's a bit difficult to find the right words :)
